How Much Does a WordPress Website Cost in 2026?

WordPress website prices in Poland in 2026 start at around 800-1000 zł for a simple business card and reach 10,000-15,000 zł for an extensive business site with integrations, a shop or a blog. There is no single answer, because the cost depends on the scope of features, the quality of the build, the technologies used and the experience of the person creating the site.

Below I lay out the current ranges, explain what really drives the price, and warn about the most common traps.

What the price of a WordPress site depends on

Before you look at the numbers, it helps to know what drives them. The same “business site” can cost 1500 zł or 8000 zł, and both can be a fair price – the difference sits in the scope.

  • Number of pages and sections – a one-page card is a different thing from a site with services, a blog and a portfolio.
  • Design – a ready-made theme is cheaper, a custom design tailored to the brand costs more.
  • Features and integrations – forms, newsletter, bookings, payments, maps, integrations with external systems.
  • A shop – WooCommerce with products, shipping and payments is a separate, larger piece of work.
  • Multiple languages – a second language version means more work and configuration.
  • Content – if the text and photos need to be prepared, not just pasted in, that is an added cost.
  • The builder’s experience and support – whether you get a site “just live”, or one that is secured, optimised and cared for after handover.

WordPress website – price ranges in 2026

The amounts below are rough ranges for the Polish market. Treat them as a point of reference, not a fixed price list.

1000-1900 zł – a basic site on a ready-made theme, 2-3 pages, no extra features, most often with no support after handover.

1900-3000 zł – a business site with a few pages, usually on a ready-made theme, basic form configuration, a mobile version, basic SEO configuration.

3000-7000 zł – a custom design or a heavily tailored theme, a blog, newsletter integrations, Google Search Console and Google Analytics configuration, SEO configuration, a multilingual version or a shop.

7000 zł and more – large sites, WooCommerce shops, integrations with external systems, custom functionality, advanced forms, a blog, copywriting, full documentation and technical care.

Cheap WordPress websites – are they worth it?

The market is full of providers offering a “WordPress website from 500 zł”. These are often people with little experience who use ready-made themes and build a very basic site without accounting for the technical side, security or optimisation.

In theory such an offer looks attractive, especially for a small business or a first site. In practice, very often:

  • the site has no backups and is vulnerable to attacks,
  • there is no care or support after publishing,
  • plugins and the theme are not updated, which leads to errors and security holes,
  • a lack of basic SEO means the site does not appear in Google,
  • the themes used can contain ads or illegal elements,
  • some parts of the site are not translated (e.g. “Read more” buttons under posts).

The result is that the early saving quickly turns into the need for a full rebuild. In my experience, some clients come to me exactly after such disappointments. Often it turns out the best solution is to build the site anew on a credible builder and theme whose authors release updates regularly.

Running costs – easy to forget

The build price is not everything. The site then has to be maintained, and here the costs are usually small but real:

  • hosting and a domain – most often in the region of a few hundred zł a year (I wrote about choosing a host in the WordPress hosting comparison),
  • an SSL certificate – often included with the hosting,
  • technical care – optional but sensible: updates, backups, monitoring and small fixes. More on that in the WordPress care description.

Compared with subscription website builders, maintaining WordPress is usually many times cheaper over a year. I broke that down in a separate post: WordPress vs Wix, Webflow, Squarespace and Shopify.

How much a good WordPress site costs – an investment, not an expense

A good WordPress site should be fast, mobile-friendly, SEO-optimised, secured and easy to expand later. Those are exactly the things that separate a site that works for the business from one that only looks good.

If you care about a site that genuinely supports the business, it is worth trusting someone who knows WordPress inside out. As a WordPress specialist I do not just build the site, but also handle technical care, updates, support and growing the site over time.

How billing works

I do not like guesswork in pricing, so I say it straight: I quote every site individually based on the concrete scope. I usually split payment into two parts – one after the initial project is approved and one after the work is finished. I am fairly flexible on this.

FAQ

How much does a simple WordPress website cost?

A simple one-page business card on a ready-made theme is usually around 1000 to 1900 zł. For a business site with a few pages, a contact form, a mobile version and basic SEO you will most often pay 1900-3000 zł. These are rough ranges – the exact price depends on the scope and who builds it.

Why do WordPress website prices vary so much?

Because the same name covers very different things. The price depends on the number of pages, a custom design versus a ready-made theme, integrations, a shop, multiple languages, content preparation, and the builder’s experience and whether they provide care after handover.

Is a website for 500 zł worth it?

Usually not. At that price there are most often no backups, no updates, no basic SEO and no support after launch, and the site tends to be vulnerable to attacks. The early saving often ends up costing a full rebuild from scratch.

What are the ongoing costs of running a WordPress site?

Beyond the one-off build there is hosting and a domain, usually in the region of a few hundred zł a year, plus optional technical care (updates, backups, monitoring). That is still typically many times cheaper than website-builder subscriptions.
